Consultation Letter from Malvern Hills District Council
Regulation 16 Consultation on the Submitted Hanley Castle Neighbourhood Plan (Review)
Monday 8 July 2024 to Monday 19 August 2024
Dear Sir / Madam,
Under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Hanley Castle Parish Council has submitted the draft Hanley Castle Neighbourhood Plan to Malvern Hills District Council. In accordance with Regulation 16, the District Council would like to invite comments from organisations and individuals on the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
Hanley Castle Parish Council undertook consultation on an earlier draft of their Plan between February and March 2024. Comments made during this period helped inform changes to the document now submitted to Malvern Hills District Council. The draft Plan includes 25 policies and proposes four allocations. The draft plan review proposes no changes to the policies and site allocations contained within the adopted Neighbourhood Plan, rather, where appropriate, additional details have been added and the Plan has been updated to reflect changes in the Parish. It is the responsibility of Malvern Hills District Council to collate all the responses and forward them on to an independent examiner, who will consider the responses and the Plan documents when assessing whether the Neighbourhood Plan meets the relevant legislation and can therefore proceed to referendum.

Supporting documents are available on the Malvern Hills District Council website. Comments on the draft Hanley Castle Neighbourhood Plan should be sent to Malvern Hills District Council by 23:59 on Monday 19 August 2024 using the Response Form. Comments can be emailed to neighbourhoodplanning@malvernhills.gov.uk or sent by post to Planning Policy at Malvern Hills District Council, Planning Services, The Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3AF.
