Food Waste Collection April 2026

The Environment Act 2021 requires Waste Collection authorities, including Malvern Hills District Council, to collect food waste from all households from April 2026.

To prepare for the introduction of this new service, the Council has ordered the new vehicles required and these will be available for use in accordance with the Government’s timetable. The vehicles and containers will be purchased using a grant provided by Government as well as £300,000 of the Council’s own funds
